Default HP for insurance

My insurance is asking me for the HP of the engines, what should I tell them is the HP on a 2000 500efi, I dont want to say 500, arent they 470 or is it less at the prop??????????

I also dont want to be dishonest.

give it to them in "KW" 390KW sounds better huh that will confuse them

470 is at the prop, just give them a picture and the hp spec's

i told them 470.... doesn't sound nearly as bad as 500, but the good marine agents know what you got....
