Re: Flow-Torq II + 502/415 = ?
Well more stuff...
Went out today with my new Mirage Plus 29P and found the limit to the HP of the 502. Never made it to 4600 and slowed down. So much for that well had fun experimenting Can hit the rev limiter in a hurry with the 25P so I guess a 26 or 27 is in order. Anybody have good luck with 4 blade props? Needless to say I have a 29P for sale Here is a link to some fun we had today after the testing. If you live up north where the lakes are still frozen this may warm you up ! http://www.isphub.net/wayne/day-in-boat.wmv |

Is your 25 a Mirage plus or the older style?

Give me the speed/rpm for both, and what gear ratio are you running?

The boat pulls to Rev limit (5000 ) very fast with 25. That is why I figured it would pull such a big jump 29. Rookie :-) 3500=48ish 25p 5000=75 79 was a flop 4400 max at 72ish |

Get me the serial number of the drive, but the numbers do indicate you most likely have a 1.36. You would pick up a couple of MPH if you change to a 1.5 ratio and then re-prop. Probably a 28" Bravo 1, but you might have to cut the diameter/blade area some. Also your 29 Mirage might work. I bet you had the 29 over-trimmed to get the RPM. BTW, how are you determining your best trim setting? You might want to take a look at this.

http://go-fast.com/prop_slip.htm Bravo 1 as good as some of the big dollar 4 blade props ? withouth changing gear what would be a logical step to the 4 blade 26? I just placed my 29P up for sale but still own it so far Wayne |
