Flow-Torq II + 502/415 = ?

Hey guys,
Just got my new prop in today and it had a Flo-Torq II hub with a Bravo 1 (less than 400 HP) tag on it. Soooo with my 502/415 my first instinctive answer would be duhhhh but can anybody tell me if these hubs will take the torq this 502 delivers or should I go out and try to buy a solid hub assembly?
Wanna get out there and try it in the AM.
thanks :p

It's kind of right on the edge, many of our customers stay with the plastic hub for the protection it provides and don't have a problem. I doubt if you will toast it first time out, but keep a spare.

Thanks Mark, It was a suprize to me and the prop is a 29P Mirage Plus so I guess I will go out and see how fast the boat runs and keep the solid hub 25p Mirage Plus in the boat for a change if needed .. changing it in the water is better than trying to paddle that go fast boat back to dock :D

The plastic is kind of scary. But I've run one for two seasons with my ZZ502. No problems yet....knock on fiberglass.

I was wondering how long that would take :D
Yes. I have a plan to supercharge the boat and the prop was purchased based on the 600hp numbers I am wanting to make. However this combo now 23' Scarab SCS goes to rev-limiter so fast now that I am wondering if I can pull to WOT 4600-5000 with the 29P.
We have a nice day down here so going out today to find out. Also several poker runs and speed events. So wanting to to a baseline of 2500-3500-4500 rpm and see what the MPH on the gps is. Also to see if a 3500 rpm cruise rpm can yield any significant mph increase at reasonable throttle position. Just learning ...one step at a time...

Ive been running a Flo-Torque II plastic hub for three seasons on my current boat with a 502 Mag MPI 415hp.

Before that I ran the same plastic hub behind a ZZ502 in a 22 Scarab.

Never had a problem.

I thought the metal insert came with anything over 26P. That's what the place where I bought my prop said.

I did use a plastic insert on my old prop with 385 HP running hard without any problems.
