Thru Hull Scoop
I am going to install Air Conditioning on my friends boat this spring, and was looking for some feedback on the thru hull fitting.
The A/C manufacture recommended that we use a scoop thru hull. They claim that with the standard thu hull, the pump will loose prime when the boat planes and gets air. Will this scoop type really work? Or will it just cause unwanted drag and high pressure in the hoses? What do they use on new speed boats with air?
