Has anyone run 89 or 90 octane fuel without any problems if your not into the throttles hard?

i believe 91 is the minimu for taht egine. Youd could probably run the hceap stuff if you backed your timing up.

Why chance it with lower octane?

Engine has 7.5 static compression, 35 degrees total advance (29 at 3000), no intercooler, and the boost goes + around 3000.

I guess if you want to run under 3000, lower octane might be for you. But the purpose of a go-fast is to go fast, right?

The price of the correct fuel is much cheaper than a rebuild.

It will live on 89.
