Well I sent my Mefi 3 to Mark for programming and guess what?
Dead as a doornail. Being a rookie I think, well how hard can it be to get a new ECM.
Its not that hard but it sure is expensive!
I have got a few leads but am looking for anyones help who has gone thru this before.
Who has the best source on these little puppies?
GM? Used? Boat wreckers?
Any thoughts?

I have an ECM from mine that I'll be selling but honestly I'm not sure if it's MEFI3 or 4. It's from my 2000 7.4 MPI. It had been reprgormmed by Tyler Crockett a couple of years ago when I had some engine work done so it does not have stock 7.4 MPI programming.

If someone can confirm what I have :D we'll see if it'll work for you.

Oh, and if you need some 42lb injectors (HP500 take outs, also from Tyler, I ran for about 60 hours) they are up for grabs as well.

Jim that was a Mefi 3 and I can reprogram what ever you need in it if somebody needs it. Tyler.

I have an extra I'll sell for $350. It has an AZ Speed program that didn't work for my combo but the ECU is good...

I've got a couple of MEFI 3 available also. I think $350 is about the going price for them.

Thanks guys, I think I have this under control.
I am just going by what Mark at Precision has told me.
Dead MEFI 3.
Sounds like from this board like he is the kind of guy you can really trust.
Thats what so good about the internet bad news spreads fast.
Have not seen or heard any bad news on Mark.
Totally takes the time to explain things and has been very, very helpful.
