Re: 261 Liberator with King Cobra questions? Help
There are some guys on this board who ACTUALLY OWN cobra drives.
These would be the people to listen to. Member Liberator21 is particularly well versed in Cobras. There was another thread last week on the subject of King Cobras being GREAT drives, (But hard to sell). As you are a new vistor to OSO, try a couple searches, you will find lots. Welcome to the forum. |

Yeah... I had an sbc with an Alpha in my Nova.
But I bought a Chris Craft with two OMCs because I really liked the boat. |

Re: 261 Liberator with King Cobra questions? Help
Thanks.
It had everything I wanted, so I bought it. I was worried about the drives for the first year or so. But if I have a should have a problem with the Cobras I will switch to Volvos. They use the same transom assy. I still like the boat. Less than 20 grand. Twin small block chevys (which I have always had). It is laid out perfect for me. I get more comments from people than some Cigs and Fountains. I was in a boat show with a bunch of 150-200 thousand dollar boats last year and everybody kept stopping at my cheap old boat. I can only do about 55 wot, but the ride is great. I'm on Lake Erie and needed a heavy deep V. Good luck. My point of posting all this is that you should get what you want. Especially when the boat is cheap. I would worry about resale on a 200K boat. Not so much on a 15K boat that you buy to use. |

 Otherwise it's 24s and 272s. The 272s are nice, but the 311s are so much nicer. |
