Can Chevy Gen V heads be used on a Mark IV or merlin block? I know that you can't use Mark IV heads on a Gen V block but I've heard both heads can be used on a Mark IV block. I'd like to build some mild 540's for my boat but I'd like to use the Gen V heads that I already have. Thanks for the help.

yes,you can use gen 5 heads on a mark 4 block,thats what i do with my spare engine.don't know about the merlin block.dave
