Re: Keith Eikert 675 Hp ???
I had a pair in my my AT. They were real nice motors, but idled a bit rough. It took Pat at AT 12 hours to get them running correctly, including having someone from KE come down and make corrections while the motors ran.
We added breather valves that helped a bit but one liked to stall. They are real strong, torquey motor that really accelerated well. I sold my boat with 70 hours on them and once we got the motors dialed in they were nice, although they did stall every once in a while. Kieth told me that I should get 200 hours out of them before having to do any work on them, and I believe it. They are a 540 CI with less than 3 pounds of boost.
I would not reccomend running them behind a bravo drive as they torque likes to eat them up. I had to have my drives gone through at 50 hours and needed some work on the one drive.
I know the Jeff Jassby (aka Jassman) had the same motors but had more problems that I did. He also went thorugh 2 Imco extreme drives at about 45 hours.
In all fairness to Kieth these motors were built in 2002 when he was going through all of his $hit, but overall I thought they were a real nice motor.

I f they are truly built by Keith, I would take them any day. Remember their are alot of KE motors floating around that he had nothing to do with.

When your name is on it, you should always make sure customer service and satisfaction should be #1, regardless of any situation. You would be surprised how many problems with just this particular motor when it first came out, not enough R&D. Jeff

I think your issues were with Julie Sullivan not Keith. I will put my motors up against anyones, and the customer service that I recieve from Keith is second to none.
