mine came attatched by wire and clevis to the outboard bilge plugs.

I have a yellow 6 gal plastic diesel jugs I use for taking waste oil. I put one on a block of wood so it's high enough, and put the ends of both hoses in overnight...they're completely drained in an hour though, even cold.

pullthe whole plug from pan then wipe up the mess it took forever the first time i thought something was wrong
