Re: how much HP can a bravo 1 drive take?

I run about about 600hp with my Bravo 1. Lake water only, change the fluid every 25 hours, no hole shots, lay off the the throttles when you catch air. It could break this weekend, you never know. I've seen people break them with less than 400hp. Its a crap shoot. But there are some precautions you can take like I mentioned above. As cheap as they are, if I get three or four seasons and break it I'll just buy another one. If I was breaking them consistantly I'd go for an XR or aftermarket. How much more would the upgrade be on a 42 Fountain with triples to go for XR's.
