Not once but 2 times in a little over a year. Thats what happens when you have to race other great racers! If you don't spin once and a while you most likely aren't pushing it to the limit.

Just wait till Augie and Smitty get back from thier recruiting session in Sarasota this weekend. They are calling in all the 'Favors' and you know that the Godfather always collects on favors.

Having read this post again I thought maybe you were used to running 40 or 50 plus miles of racing at your events.

Having looked at your history on the SBI website, you actual only averaged 30.13 miles for 4 events with a total of 6 races.
Here is what they show:

27.7 miles Miami
24.7 miles Fort L One
30.2 miles Fort L Two
35.7 miles Marathon One
35.7 miles Marathon Two
26.8 miles Marathon 4th Annual

At each event there was only 1 other boat entered in your Class.

Now for the math....

The Surf Club Ortley Beach, NJ Race the SVL Class is 22 miles.

That would be:
5.7 miles less than Miami
2.7 miles less than Fort L One
8.2 miles less than Fort L Two
10.7 miles less than Marathon One & Two each
4.8 miles less than the 4th Annual Marathon

With so little diffrence in mileage than what you have been already racing all season, I just don't buy the excuse of a (22 mile course) is the reason you are not showing...

The real difference will be not just the length of the course, but you will have more than 1 other entry in your class...

Hopefully the Jersey Boyz had a "Sit Down" with you by now, and you have changed your mind to come. :drink:

I hope you make it! But as the saying goes, " If you can't run....." well, you know the rest..... ;) :D

So....Shame

2 races 2 DNFs. Maybe you should consider the shorter course

It wasn't that long ago when I was being tossed under the bus for breaking  And now the team that does all there maintenance and has a UIM championship breaks. How can this be? :evilb: And you were worried about a 22 mile race. Just think maybe you would have had a shot at finishing

At this point I hope you don't show! You are not worthy of being in such a great race. Smitty busted his balls to put on this grudge match for you as much as anything. PLEASE DON'T SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
