Hey Guys, we are still working on the boat, and hope to have a drive early next week. So we do plan to make it. We are looking foward to seeing and racing with all of you again.

New custom Pantera 28' should also be in Sarasota and the remaining Florida Races on the Schedule.It will be my customers first time on the race coarse.We should be testing it next week.

i saw this new Pantera 28' while at the factory last week and it looks bad azz !! The engine room rigging is awesome.jo told me that he was going to spend a few days getting his customer up to speed while testing it out in the ocean before the sarasota race. :D

Another boat/team in P5? OUTSTANDING!

We'll show those guys in SV and SS that P5 has a competing boat count and will put on a show as good or better than they do!

This is my second year racing and first year as a boat owner, so I know getting started can be a bit overwhelming until you figure things out.

Like Frank said, if you need anything or have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. We might be able to give you a few pointers to help things go more smoothly during the race weekend. We can also let you know what to expect if you've never been a race participant before.

Look forward to meeting you in Sarasota!

you should get plenty of driving tips and pointers while testing with jo.i spent 1 hour a few months ago with him in big water in a 28 ' twin and was amazed on how he handled the boat in nasty conditions. good luck with it !!! speed buff :drink:

That makes 7 confirmed. I expect V&M P5-17 will be there since I think they're out of Sarasota and I don't expect Keith will miss this one...so possibly 9 boats!?!

A few pictures of Mike's new Pantera 28 Single P5.Boat does have a full cabin and a full pleasure cockpit.The engine hatch was custom made with double entry Naca Ducts that were glassed on to the hatch. We are doing the final details on it.

Here are some pictures of Mike Berg new P5 Pantera 28' Single. After testing it today for the first time out in real confused 5 footers out in the Ocean all I can say the boat is ready to race. :D I am going to spend some more time with Mike on the wheel later this week and get him up to speed.He is excited on going racing with you guys in P5.

We're excited to have another boat in P5! Look forward to meeting Mike and seeing the boat in Sarasota later this week.

Again, if he needs anything at all, please let him know we'll help in anyway we can. We expect to arrive in Sarasota Thursday afternoon and will be in the pits early Friday.

12 boats answered roll call and I believe all made it to the start. P5 had the largest boat count and we garnered our own start.

Still not sure who all finished and in what place...we'll have to wait until it's posted on the SBI/APBA web site. I know for Scott and I, this was our first "rough water" race together...so safety and survival were our concerns and it paid off for us in the end, especially after losing our intercom on the second lap. I'm just glad to hear the Shogun and Mustang guys are alright.

Bruce and Mike...too bad ya guys missed it...can you imagine 14 P5 boats on the start? Awesome! Maybe at Key West?
