The U.S Flag
#1
Okay, call it a pet peeve, but as a defender of freedom, the Flag of the United States has a special meaning to me that most folks will never understand. So when I see the Flag used inappropriately or some graphic designer attempts to make the Flag look "cool" by giving it an appearance that it's been shreaded, I like to remind folks of the U.S. Code on the Flag:
UNITED STATES CODE
TITLE 4
CHAPTER 1 - THE FLAG
§1. Flag; stripes and stars on
The flag of the United States shall be thirteen horizontal stripes, alternate red and white; and the union of the flag shall be forty-eight stars, white in a blue field.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
§ 2. Same; additional stars
On the admission of a new State into the Union one star shall be added to the union of the flag; and such addition shall take effect on the fourth day of July then next succeeding such admission.
§176. Respect for flag
(e) The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way.
(k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.
Let's not forget the Flag represents our great country. So to me, if you don't respect the Flag, need I say the rest?
Please show some respect...make the Flag look like what it was designed to look like.

Sean,
I have thought about this as well. Some of the graphics look very cool, but I would rather keep the flag sacred....I like the fact that we are required to have the flag on our race boats in their original design
