As a member in good standing for many years, I agree that this has to stop. I am the Chairman of the Great Lakes Silver Cup Series and have felt the wrath of a chosen few on this board many time.

Our sport is a hobby for many and a business for others. This forum is for information healthy to the sport. The negatives which are mainly opinions from one side or another are mostly acceptable in many cases and needed to move forward, but a chosen few take things to far and have single handedly taken the fun out a hobby for many of us.

As moderators of this board I applaud you for seeing the issue, now if anything can be done to silence these chosen few life would be much better.

Regards,

Andrew D. Bloom
Chairman
Great Lakes Silver Cup Series

SpeedGirl,
Well said and you are exactly right, enough is enough!!! OSO is great for the Sport of Power boating, if you're racing, poker running, or just boating; OSO is a GREAT source of information and a way to keep in touch with friends. This Racing Milling Area, has gone down the TUBES!!! I personally regret almost ever post I write, because no matter what I said, somebody will twist and changes or misrepresent everything I write. I applaud you for standing up and posting this and I really hope that the Powers to Be of Offshore Only do take this seriously and does put a stop to this crap… I also totally agree with the First and Last names idea. And for those of you who don’t know me, I am Ben Hedrick.
Thank you again, and I and many other whole heartily, support you…

I would like to thank OSO for cleaning up the trash this morning.
I think it is important they monitor the website, BUT should not be held responsible for the content of what is written in the guise of "questions", "fact statements" and peoples personal agendas. People have to start editing themselves and thinking before typing.

Using your own name gives what you say a certain amount of credibility.....whether people agree or not.
I don't know if it should be mandatory for using peoples names, but I do think if those with fake names start the garbage talking........OSO should tell us who they are. Time-outs don't work.....it just gives people time to fuel up.
And using your own name doesn't give you liberty to say stupid, sometimes "slanderous" stuff. Bottom line........grow up on line and be a jerk in the pits where we can deal with you face to face.

If you are SERIOUS about boat racing, this should be a place to meet up with other people who are.
If you SERIOUS about always busting somebody's chops, do it through email............ like the show-off at a party, most of us don't think your CLEVER or funny.
Sorry to be so blunt.....don't like it?...look for me in the pits.
