Default Katrina and Rita affected areas interstate conditions

Anyone have info on the interstate conditions thru Mississippi (I-59) Louisiana (I-12 & I-10) and Texas (59)? Don't need any surprises on the way to Corpus Christi.

I-10 in Miss is down to one lane over the Pascagoula River (just west of the Ala. Line) - it backs up bad but is passable. I-10 into New Orleans is OUT, but I doubt you'd be going that way - more likely you'd be going I-12 over lake ponchitrain at that point. I-12 and I-59 are fine as far as I know. However, traffic is a major SOB down here right now cause so much of US90 is out and there are so many extra people here trying to help. If you can I'd probably try to stay at least as far north as I-20 until you clear the whole area.

I just made the trip back from Ca. I-10 and I-12 backed up 2 times in La. and Houston was no fun. If you can get through these area's at night you should have no trouble. Bill
