Man is injured as tent blows over
A man working at the powerboat racing show on Shoreline Boulevard was taken to a local hospital Thursday afternoon, after an accident while setting up a tent, according to Corpus Christi police.
The man was setting up a tent at about 4:33 p.m. when a strong wind knocked the tent over, causing the man to be catapulted about 50 feet, officials said. He was taken to Christus Spohn Hospital Shoreline with what officials describe as serious injuries.
Information on the man's condition was not available late Thursday.
