Just got off the phone with my dad and he was talking to Jamie Russell about the barrell roll that he did in Corpus Christi on the back side of the course. Supposedly they barrell rolled not just once but twice in one crash landing right side up.. This was all caught on camera... I heard the Motley crew boys saw it too.

Has anyone ever seen or heard of a double barrell roll and landing right side up?? Hopefully Jamie will post some of the pics he got 22 frames and all.

I heard the same from Jamie after the race.

You'll need to wait for the EBM article to come out in a few months to see the pics he got. Twenty photos in all.

Jamie is a dinasour, he shoots film and doesn't own a scanner or computer. His shots are fantastic, but not in a shareable format.

I'm just glad the boat landed upright and everyone walked away without much damage.

We, (Bill, Rhonda, Janet and I) enjoyed having you and Geoff with us that day on the pace boat. Both of you guys are definitely professionals!

Was extremely relieved to hear your dad & Steve were okay. Was also very happy to hear Gary Nichols was fine. Some pretty scary stuff.

What happened to Gary Nichols??

During the restart, they were inadvertently hit when Popeye went over their right rear and past Gary's window. Shook him up pretty good so they took him to the hospital when he returned to the crane.

Nichols and Popeye hit on the restart. Not too much damage.
