Just because you run a big block cat shouldn't put you off!!! These weed eaters will give you the surprise of a lifetime. Driving a super stock boat hung out on the edge is incredible. You will absolutely love it.

Out of curiosity ballpark what kind of money would one have to belly-up to join an established boat/throttleman? Would it be simply paying for thrills, or could one expect to get a return on his investment all said and done?

I think my good friend Ryan is pretty close. Of course depending on the year and breakage of equipment it might go up or down a bit from there.
If you can secure sponsorship it can become a positive cash flow deal, but it ain't easy.
You are definitely paying for thrills. But more than that and in spite of what you might read it is a great adventure. It will frustrate and possibly kill you. But once you have done it, nothing else will take it's place. SQ

I have raced against Allen for several years and he is truly a competitor and good friend. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get their feet wet and go experience the thrill of offhshore racing. Warning you better make sure your balls are intact because SS racing is intense and Allen will not lay back!
