Anyone run a vacuum pump?

Posted in tech, but no responses so thought I would try here...
I have some excess oil pan pressure on my engines. The cylinder leakdown and pressure tests are normal, but there is still a pressure issue at high rpm. I have ran an electrical vacuum pump on one of my race cars before and was wondering if anyone has ran them on a boat. I do not want to pull through the carbs because of the excess oil being scavenged through the breather. The carbs already need a good cleaning.
If you are running a vacuum pump please let me know how it is working for you. I can go electric again or run a crankshaft pump.
Thanks

we used to pull vacuum with drysump , any type should work just like your car however vacuum pulls oil from and tends to dryup the piston domes and as you know the oil is important to cool the pisons ( we used dome oilers and rifle drilled rods) we sealed the engine so we had to be carefull of seals etc . as long as engine is vented you should be ok

Thanks,
The pressure is blowing oil all in the bilge through the breathers and the oil caps at 5lbs of boost. It may be cheaper for me to invest in newer valve covers with a better cap and baffle design.
