I heard that the main problem was location for the wet pits. They had to drive out of and back to New Smyrna beach.

There may also have been a problem withhaving the dry pits in the infield of the Daytona race way. Whe we were there we saw all the top cars practicing..

Maybe they could have the wet pits and pits in ponce inlet by the light house. Daytona would be a great stie back on the schedule ORL???

I loved Daytona...The drive to the wet pits did suck, plus, there was no place to leave our rigs after we launched.

Daytona Rocked. Great dry pits, rough offshore race water, and good hotels.
Were else can you get a picture like this?

The drive sucked.
