Sharkey,
OSS sent out an email to the owners saying that unfortunately the Newport, RI race is cancelled and they were very disappointed. I received it on May 22 but everybody saw it coming since the Pickwick race when they didn't attend. Sharkey maybe you can explain why they have a minimum 87mph average race speed but I don't know if they have a max speed like the p classes here. It is almost like you are racing the clock to average 86.9mph????? Brett |

Louie,
I just read this morning that P1 is [B]" threatening to use Dynos going forward as some of the boats are "apparently" not the hp they claim to be." City. :drink: |

Sharkey,
I meant a 87 mph max average race speed but did you see anything in the rules on a max speed at any time during the race??? |

The P1 TCC will use any and all information available to it (including but not limited to the Team’s Technical Logbook, manufacturer service manuals, GPS results, speed guns, performance reviews, dyno tests, etc..) to establish the MAP. If suddenly a boat that is supposed to be running 625 engines starts to turn lap times of a boat with 700's or more, I am sure the officials would look further into the GPS readings and speed gun results . ;) |

Look good!!!! :) :)

I must say that they are all gentlemen in P1. We never got accused of cheating ( of course every crew member from other boats were at the crane when being weighed after race!!). There were some rumors that we had 10-15 mph speed over everyone..... Not true AT ALL. Infact if you look at the race lap times, we actually had the third fastest. The Buzzi was fastest and OL second, but we won because we were so consistent on lap times.
