F2 and F1 was some serious close affordable racing. I remeber that stuff pretty well. Alweiss and Mastry were a great team back then especially in the Nor-Tech.

That did hurt, the deck peeled off and hit Dick in the face. He was lucky bit still got hurt really bad. I don't think he ever raced again. I also remember that crash revealed an illegal ballast tank. I loved racing F2 with those guys and others.

By looking at the video Dick didn't know how to ue the ballast tank.

Unless its the camera angle the angle of that stuff dosen't seem that bad? Why so much damage? What am I missing

Your missing a major stuff with a wall of water and fiberglass hitting you in the face at 80+ mph! Lucky he survived. It messed him up bad!

Yes indeed !!! Those were the good old days and I remember them well. Man, it was fun. Kinda like watching your kids grow up and move away....always trying to get the memmories and good times back. Dave
