Wahoo, the title says 2001 Skater!Insurance cancled because Skater didnt make an 01 V.My insurance underwriter contacted Skater just to make sure and they said it wasnt there boat!It has a Skater hin on the transom aswell.Looks like somebody rebadged this Extreme with a Skater hin and title,Now Im screwed.Turns out I have a 1999 Ettore Extreme .I cant realy say to much more because of who and the amount of people that can be involved!Hoplefully it gets resolved before it turns into a mess!Anyway the rest doesnt realy belong on this thread!
Hugh ,how are you?Did you replace the top gun? Have you been boating since the gun was sold?I realy didnt get to boat much last year, most of the time the boat was being rigged.I think I only used it about 6hrs before I ran into this title issue!Hopefully I can get this thing sorted out before Desert Storm!I missed last years poker runs because the boat wasnt ready! Now its running I cant use it either!

Wow... hard to believe you could mistake one for the other. I know the boat you have and it looks nothing like a Skater......is this your first performance boat? Did you call Extreme and try to get an original title or was it never titled? I know the Ettore people had a couple of the big extremes also I believe it is a 39 not a 40.......

I have never even heard of Extreme when I bought this boat and was told it was the first V Skater ever did.It had a Skater hin that says Skater below it and it has a matching title. It even had a survay using this info.I have owned many boats but all production so when I had the chance to own a Skater V I took it.Knowing Skater V's are very rare , I did not known the differance and since the title and numbers matched, and being told this was the first one built, I bought it.If the insurance didnt catch it,I would still think I had a Skater. If it was a production boat ,Top Gun,Scarab,Formula, etc, and it was being called a Skater with a Skater title,I would of known something was wrong and would not have done it.Anyway its all being worked out,Just a matter of time and besides, this has nothing to do with racing or the racing section,I was just looking for the value of these boats and saw the thread about the extreme and entered, now the thread is totaly off track, sorry!

Either way the Extremes are well built boats. Be careful with it and have fun with it.
