Default Al Copeland was building a boat?

I heard that Al Copeland was building a new boat before he passed. I think it was to break the world speed record?

Does anyone have any info on what kind of boat he was building?

Default I herd that

Last tear at the Orange Beach race I was talking to David Wade who man's the gas sticks for Stan Ware "Popeye's" and he told me that Al had just got the design out of wind tunnel testing, he was going for over 300mph. That was the last I herd. Stan Ware, can you put some light on this.

I hope that I am not saying anything here that the family disapproves of. Big Al had two wishes before he passed.
1: To break the current prop speed record
2: To find a cure for the cancer that took his life.

Through his foundation both will be accomplished in the very near future. Al jr. will be in the boat to break the record. The boat is sick, and no I have not seen it. Stan thinks only four people have actually seen it. I remember last year at Mardi gras, Al and Tony Pacheco having a discussion on how the boat was coming along.

Stan had showed the video to me when it was first made and I did not know if the family had released it yet. Both wishes will be fulfill jr and the foundation will not stop until that day. Talk about loving offshore racing, Al lived it everyday.

What exactly is the definition of a "Legend". Al Copeland. I met him once in key west, he went out of his way to make sure I had a good time, and he had never met me before that night. I don't know if anyboby could follow his footsteps, but you never know. God Bless Brett
