it would be nice to see them lower the rpm limit. since none of the other motors can come close to the 2.5

and actually make it a stock class

Thumbs up

30 boats in one class is awesome and in my opinion Class III is the best racing class out there. Over there you don't just get teams from one country, you get them from quite a few different ones. Just awesome.

The first Class III race of the season, is tomorrow!

Last I heard 26 boats .....not bad for the first race of the season.

Dave, in OSS we as a class make our own rules and this is what we have come up with for the year. This change aligns us with the rules in the Middle East, New Zealand, & Austraila. Some of the other motors do not turn the 8200 but make much more torque allowing them to run about the same propellers. We have made this concession to align our class with the rest of the world and try too get some new people out there should they want a different motor choice. We really shouldn't be penalized with the equipment we already have to allow another boat to race that probably won't show up anyway.

yea i know the racers make the rules, i was poking fun that the merc 2.5 is anything but stock. since you guys are all about the mercury truck why not get merc to give you guys 300xs motors and dump those high maintenence two strokers. go green!! could be the new motto
