would running a 22 avanti be certain death running P6????? I would def make it a sit down boat as it is to shallow a hull for stand up very solid hulls just short chris

Well if this is your choice; that run it! Just steer clear of Ocean City and Point.

Chris,
The boat would be legal for Class 6;but the other boats that you have inquired about would be better.A couple of years ago a 21ft Intimidator with a single outboard ran competively in Class 5 in the flat water races.I also remember a couple 22ft Velocities and 23ft Maelstroms with single inboards running in the old A-Class.They also did well in the calm water races.Obviously,a longer boat would be better for the ocean races. There is no substitute for length. At least Class 6 is maxed out at 26ft.The whole idea behind this class was to provide a place for the smaller boats to race competitively.Based on the continued growth of the class it seems to be working pretty well.See you in O.C.:evilb:

My 24' Sunsation is really a 23'. I'm sure you could be competative in the calmer races-Patchogue LI, Cambrigde Md, Tenn, St Claire, Port Clinton Oh.
PS Don't listen to Two Trick, bring the boat to OC and Point!!
