525's in these boats run 100 on their best day so The boat was beefed up too, so no doubt its heavier now. |
Sean,
It is running fast then 105, but like i said still have a lot of work to do. We have more HP in our boat and seeing some really good numbers, the boat handles and run alot better with HP. We r getting close I think we have the drive heights finally right now, and we just need a few gear changes, and some prop testing and we should be there. It took a while to get the balance and drive height to work with the extra weight the new motors added and all the extra fuel we have to carry now. It has been an intersting project and finally paying off. We are really looking foward to see what happens in clearwater . Still have a few bug but we know it would take time, we had a great run in NY till we broke in the 14 lap. The only plus out of that was we broke in 1st place, but u have to finish to WIN. |

Moving things around, addressing the cooling (those blue impellers are not good) and getting some propellers will improve the speed even more. |
Super Vee Fury may be old like 7 years old or what but it still can run that fast as today.

I don't think it will be the fastest boat out there, (wasn't with the 525's and Bravo's) but it should be when running in P1 Evo class and it can be very competitive running in the teens and most imporntantly reliable, which means a lot when you have to race back to back races in a single weekend hoping from country to country.

Don't worry, it is faster than Sean predicts. They are going to run it again tomorrow with some different propellers hopefully.

I hope it goes 120 for the new owner, Will and everybody else involved, it's just not there yet. |

probably not as fast as it was with 525's
If I wanted a kilo setup it would be different than it is now, but the boat should run (hopefully) in the mid teens tomorrow. If they can get the right propellers (everyone's story) maybe even more but 120.. Never. :) And it does not have to in the P1 Class Evo as an honest 110 race speed will be competitive especially when they will have to race with the new torque meters I saw in Sweden. Things will change there. Anyone have an 18X36 6 blade Hering?? |
