Default old school exhaust

Any reason why you rarely see people using the old school stellings with Y pipes. i like the high pitch tone. Any pros or cons to the y pipes.

The cost is out of the box, but they do make more power at higher RPM's

I was under the belief that they made more power in the low to mid range. This the reason they were used on the n/a supercat motors which spun up to 7500-7600RPM. These motors make big power up high but lack the low to mid punch. The y pipes helped in that area.

keep in mind that unless you are running NA Supercat motors at 7K+ rpm they may not have that same sound. They do sound cool though
