What's up Jerry? We did toy with building center consoles and decided to concentrate on our core business. The 3 we made in the 90's were just custom creations that our customers requested. Not saying how good we are, just pointing out we're not as bad as you make us out to be.

Not sure but the Brand NEW 42 that Fountain just built for Sheds Plus that is racing SBI has 2 motors in it last time I checked.

Come on now. How can a 30 second video get everybodys panties in a bunch. The video was intended to show some testing and get some excitement brewed up for key west.

Really Jerry? The same thing every year? The last 2 years, KW was a last minute decision and the race boat was built in less than 30 days. There were no video's that you speak of.

Handling and speed has never been an issue, time has been. If the boat is as good as we think it is, then we should do well barring any unforseen issues. If we don't, then we'll work on it to be better. Were not pounding our chest, were going racing and let the racing speak for itself, good or bad.

The video never said its gonna whoop ass or make others quit..... It was just a quick little video we took while testing to grow some interest for KW. The fact that you actually started blasting OL with such harsh and inaccurate post in the KW schedule post is surprising. Especially since you work with Peter.

I didnt think you were going to have to but you might think about bring the purple motor. It will be better to be safe then sorry. See how wed goes and take it from there, if you need a hand you know it would take long to switch.

I still have the last issue of Eric Colby's Speedboat mag where he talks about Outerlimits' layup schedule and techniques. He said the OL shop was the only one he didn't get a headache from. He also had high praise for his test boat's handling, and if you know Colby, he doesn't hand out praise lightly.

I think that speaks to how good OL is.

I dont think this is a fountain vs outerlimits thing. My question is why would joe bail on peter for key west? they ran a very successful year in the fountain and all of a sudden joe brings the outerlimits down? is outerlimits in some kind of trouble? did mike ask joe to bring the boat there? by the way the ol might turn on a dime but the fountain WILL turn on a dime and spit out nickles. Scorpion motor vs ol motors? Im going with frank. My money is on haney and the fountain!!!!

Joe owns his own boat and wants to race it. He raced the last 2 years in his own OL which is his preference. OL is not in trobule and I fail to see any correlation with spending money and taking a week off from work to go racing as a sign of trouble. This SV43 OL will be attending many events in 2011.

Time, logistics, new motors, testing...... OL's been very busy with numerous boat builds..... So it was decided to wait until KW. 2011 will be a busy year for all involved.

Because OL is a partner in the racing portion and has to dedicate time and resources. I think thats pretty clear. Because OL had many boats to build, it was hard to take off 3-5 days every few weeks for boat races. That hurts production. OL's also been developing there own engine packages and thats been going through validation testing. Now everyone's ready for KW and were looking for some good results. Good results that will give us all momentum going into 2011.

I would love to run against Joe, watching OL and Fountain battle in P1 made me want to start racing. If Joe's boat makes the kind of hp they are talking about, my stock 700 sci merc's will not be enough. Why spend all that money on that power just to be in a class buy yourself?

I still wish him the best, and right now more boats the better.

From the looks of it Dan, with all the pre registered boats going to be about 50 boats so far. Should be some awesome racing .
