WHO do you know that owns an SV 43 bottom??

BoatBoy 1 10-17-2010 07:03 PM

its funny how your name has Fountain but yet u r standing up for Outerlimits. and the hole thing about wining a championship i am gonna love seeing that cause last year the boat got more miles on the trailer then the engines got hrs on them.

Driveguy 10-17-2010 08:05 PM

Lets just say we have watched and all listened. Weve seen it spinout on the straight away over seas because the steeering broke, how did it fix itself (?) beause they continued. Then what happened when they spunout flipped over barrel rolled blew the side out and sunk to a total lose for the owner. then last year in KW If they turned the battery switch off it erased the ecu memory. You dont want names. So I will end with this Birthplace Missouri. Have a good night and see everyone that matters in KW.

Xtremeracing 10-18-2010 06:58 AM

There will be some great racing this yr in KW. Sounds like some awesome boats will be there, looking forward to seeing some of the new equipment coming out. Be great to see Aqua Mania on the race course again, its been a while and a rough road for them.

Little cage shaking never hurt anyone, besides O/L has fallen a-sleep the last couple of years. I hope everyone is SAFE & DRY in K/W. Lets get some shi# talking, & some motivational blood running!

we could look at the past 2008 world champion, 2009 p1 world champion, 2009 p1, an outerlimits finished 1st or second in 9 of 10 races. But what do I know.

The boat actually spun out twice in that race in Malta. Not due to steering failure, but driver error. But you didn't stick around to see that the boat WON that race.

The boat that they spun and rolled in Sweden was just plain racing. They couldn't pass on that course easily and waited until the end of the race to make a move. They went into that turn at 115, (85 was the fastest in the previous 9 laps) they took a wake at a random angle and didn't have room to let the boat drift out, unfortunately there was a beach there. It's racing, sometimes you have to take chances to win.

Ol hasn't exactly fallen asleep, if you call winning 2008 Worlds, and 2009 p1 championship sleeping, then you are correct.

Also 2010 GPS in eurpoe, Big Sergio Al & Al went from dead last a year ago to finishing second in their OL SV 40. They won races and finished well, which is something that they have never done before.

Wow, well good to know you can just make things up. I was in the boat, going around the bouy at 90mph. We'll see how it goes in KW.

Won in 2008, P1 world champion in 2009.

Actually, you need to get your facts straghit. Since I was there, at every race, the boat rolled on a slight turn, when they hit a set of large side rollers at 118mph. It did not spin out, it left the air at the angle of sweeping turn, because of this, it landed awkard, barrel rolled and the excess water psi went through the engine compartment and broke the boat. It was a violent and I've seen other boats do something similar, and the drivers were dead. Both drivers walked away with zero injuries, the capsule and rest of the boat was fine. It did not sink.

Again, since you don't know what your talking about, since I do the PCM's. The PCM's did nothing of the sort. What actually happen was that there was a short in the PCM that was shorting the injectors, which got progressively worse throughout the weekend. Because the short was internal, it did give an error and was tough to diagnose. I didn't figure it out until sunday after the race.

So it would be best if you keep the facts straghit and worry about yourself. We'll see what happends in KW, its racing, anything can happen.

How did the OL do in P1 when the little Blue Fountain was racing? What yr did they retire that boat from P1?

OL did pretty darn well. Both won races, every rough water race, the OL won. In 09, the 2 OL were constantly the fastest boats, the Lucas had the top speed, but were plagued with engine woes, then suffered a major setback when we lost a prop blade in Italy. The damage from that hurt us later as it shook nearly everything loose until things cracked. Being that it was over in Europe, made it hard to properly inspect and it cost us a win at the next race.

Everyone that has ridden in the pleasure boat SV43's and especially the race SV43's have nothing but impressive things to say about it.

Don't make me start throwing dirty laundy into the mix. I was there, I know quite a bit of what went on so a few of your jaded comments are just elementry attempts to promote Fountain. Fountain makes a wonderful, fast, nimble boat that has done very well so lets just keep these post accurate and stop slinging mud.

Xtremeracing 10-20-2010 08:06 PM

Wow I just asked a question, little defensive arent we. No need to get like that it was just an honest question.

You never did answer my question, did OL win a World Champion while the Little Blue Fountain was racing P1???

animalhouse 10-20-2010 08:47 PM

The difference is you can buy a new Outerlimits race boat. But if you want a fountain you better like fishing.

Xtremeracing 10-20-2010 08:49 PM

I guess no one is going to anwser the question??

If I recall correctly the little blue fountain ran its first year when no Outerlimits were racing and in the second year the OL won all the rough water races. And why does one Fountain make a difference?? What about the Fountains after the blue one that the same team ran??

obrien 10-20-2010 09:07 PM

The fountain guys won in 2007 and 2008, then decided they had enough. Not like they need to prove anything else. The guys at Fountian worldwide new how to setup the boat an made it run great. It also helped to have a damn good driver an throttle man in the boat.
outerlimits did have a boat in the 2007 season.

The fountain did very well. Nobody is taking that away from them. If I recall this thread was turned in to an Outerlimits bashing thread. We are just stating the facts.

Talk about living in the past. To say the Ol Cant turn is just false. Just look up the 07 cowes race when the Ol carved a tight one and grabbed the checker flag.

Trash talk is good, but complete lies is an another thing.

When is sbi going to start a center console class so Fountain can dominate again?

Driveguy 10-20-2010 09:21 PM

Blah

Gentlemen, I know theres many different opinions. All we can do is prepare what we feel is the best piece and show up to face the public with it. Thats how I aproach every event and my prior statements being true to what I beleive did as I thought they would do.After all the BS on here as long as everyone is safe and goes home at the end, WHO CARES.

Xtremeracing 10-20-2010 09:22 PM

Dont know about CC but Fountain just built a SVL that is un believable. Ran the entire class off hummmm. Won the second race it ran and never looked back since.
