Great to see that Miss Geico will once again be coming to St. Clair River Race. They are always one of the main attractions that people want to see racing. I would of like to see them this year at the Port Huron Race but I understand that they have a very demanding schedule.

Almost US1 03-07-2011 11:20 AM

Always enjoy watching this boat run. Effortless, very well balanced. Just wish their competition would show up more often. Not their fault though...expensive class.. I'd be nervous about racing that machine myself.

heater63 03-07-2011 01:17 PM

a little bird told me that Geico will have someone to race with this year!!!!!!

rchevelle71 03-07-2011 01:39 PM

See y'all in Cocoa!!!

DriverofDonzi 03-07-2011 02:23 PM

When I see it I'll believe it. The bigger the boat the bigger the talkers. Wasn't phenomenon going to go 300mph last year?

It sure would be cool to see those big unlimited boats all racing hard.

ItsPeanut 03-07-2011 05:36 PM

Nice to see a few sbi races in their also. Cant wait for the races this year. Thanks gieco

STUCK 03-07-2011 06:01 PM

Glad to see Michigan City is on the list again I missed seeing them last year.

Xtremeracing 03-07-2011 06:58 PM

Looks like 3 turbines will be in Cocoa

frankenstein 03-07-2011 09:33 PM

Glad Geico is coming to Long Island again. To me, it doesn't matter if 10 Turbine boats show up and Geico finishes last, They're still the "class" of the class. They always seem to look out for the best thing for all involved. I don't believe that will change with John H. gone. It's always nice to have unlimited funds, but money doesn't buy class. It's earned. Good job guys, keep it up

Didn't JBS fire their T-man. It's not like theirs ant other...Aquamania has owners racing so my guess is JBS.

A new 48 MTI Turbine boat...this should be interesting.

Karaokemike 03-09-2011 08:02 AM

Rebel Racing is a 48 MTI. Turbine Marine is putting the boat together. Boat was getting ready for paint last time I heard.

I am not what is going on with JBS. That will be a interesting factor into the season. The question is going to be where are the other two boats going to run?

DriverofDonzi 03-09-2011 10:57 AM

Hope Rebel Racing will be able to race at St Clair! :)

We missed the show down last year at St. Clair between Miss Geico and JBS Racing squaring off because of a delam problem that JBS Racing experienced on Saturday testing. I know that nobody was more bummed out then JBS Racing, the fans and Miss Geico. Could 2011 at St. Clair be the show down that everyone has been wanting to see? I sure hope so as there would be no greater hip then JBS Racing, Miss Geico, Aqua Mania and Rebel Racing battling it out for the Turbine Class bragging rights.

Wahoo ATV 03-09-2011 01:39 PM

I know I wouldn't miss watching them fly into the St Clair corners at 180 mph four wide.

Xtremeracing 03-09-2011 06:34 PM

you might see it at cocoa in a few months, looks like there will be some great match ups....

I agree....Last year I know Miss Geico Racing, JBS Racing, and Aqua Mania Racing were planning to race for Turbine class at St Clair. AM was unable to show up due serious illness, JBS had delam problem so that left is Miss Geico who cruised into victory in Turbine Class so would like to see all 3 with Rebel Racing too.... That gotta set new record in St Clair history!!!!!!

I think in St. Clair this year for the supercat, supercat lite and Turbine they should run the long course. Could you imagine those turbine boats cruising down Canadian shore with the extra 7 mph current. I was there when Bud Select and Gieco went hull to hull.

What a wonderful sight that would be.

Cannot wait for the races this year.

I remember that race in 2007 at St. Clair River between Miss Geico and the Bud Select boat. It was one of the fastest and closest races I have seen but I just loved the short race course last year at St. Clair. Everyone could see the entire race and the boats went by grouped together more often. Either way if all the Turbines Boats show up at St. Clair for the Turbine Class show down it will be one hell of a race no matter what length coarse they race on.

DriverofDonzi 03-10-2011 11:39 AM

I agree with AB....

Short race course is more fun and turbine teams have no problem with that. Miss Geico raced very well in short race course at St Clair last year.

Chris

jds2500 03-10-2011 07:29 PM

I rally liked the short course too but would love to see the speed those turbine boats could reach with that extra length of course.

Either long or short course it wont matter to me as long as there is racing and good weather I will be happy as a clam.

Ron P 03-12-2011 01:02 PM

I don't think a course like St Clair could handle more than 4 of these monsters racing at once.

Wouldn't it be nice to finally see the turbines class field a few boats. I bet Miss Geico/AMF has run about 35 races so far and only had compitition in about 8 of those races. I'm know Scotty and Marc will welcome the compitition.

Xtremeracing 03-13-2011 06:54 PM

They will have a battle of the turbines in Cocoa Beach, should prove to be interesting. I know the town and fans are looking forward to it. The town is a buzz with the excitement of the races returning to Cocoa Beach this yr. You will see most of the big boats there this yr. The cat unlimted class is shaping up to be a great race.

StClairRaceFan 03-15-2011 11:10 PM

This is what the good people of St. Clair have always wanted to see. Not taking away anything from the other classes as every race has their moments. We got a little spoiled when Geico and Bud Select raced a few years back and to see 3 or 4 Turbines on the course would be quite a sight. Not to sound out of the loop but what happened to John H and why is he not with them?

From what I have read and heard, is that Mr. Haggin felt it was time for him to move on as he has been doing this for quit a few years now and he wanted to spend more time with his horse breeding business. Like everyone else some times you need a break and he had pumped in a lot of his own money into the sport to make it better and I certainly think he has and the Miss Geico Team is just one great example of that. I had never met him but from all accounts everyone loved him as he was a down to earth guy. I hope that we will still see him from time to time at the races with his boys and friends. This fan really appreciated all that he had done for the sport and it was a very sad day to hear that he was retiring. Wish him all the best, hope this gives you an idea of what happened to Mr, John Haggin. "United We Race"

psmith 03-18-2011 06:43 AM

I met John a few times, very nice and down to earth person. That whole Geico Team is like that. Scotty and Marc have always been easy to talk to for their fans. Good luck John Haggin, you kicked up offshore racing a few notches.

Big Time 03-22-2011 10:31 AM

I'm glad Geico is making it to Key West this year...just wasn't the same without them.

[email protected] 03-22-2011 12:14 PM

we always enjoyed seeing you guy at smokin the sound in biloxi, what happen? my kids love yall!

milldew69 03-23-2011 09:35 AM

Hoping we see all four turbines in Michigan City this summer. What a show right off the beach!

Xtremeracing 03-23-2011 06:22 PM

Jason from the looks of it you will see them there, it is one of the best races of the schedule and a dont miss race. We'll talk soon, spoke to Tony already and the Super Cats will be there.
