Go to Charlotte after the first of the yr to check it and find some hotels close to everything. I'll post what I find and try and get some pricing also.

What's this course lay out gonna look like? Running in Charlotte Harbor, or outside the barrier islands?

The pit area and race course are at Englewood Beach.

The course map and schedule is on SBI site now. Who's planning on going?

If anyone is interested, I'd love to make a Charlotte Harbor run "Englewood Beach to Punta Gorda" before the boat parade Friday, weather permitting. It's about 35 miles by water vs 26 by road, but takes half the time you could manage in a fast sports car during Snowbird Season...

Visited the city, the pits and crane area look good, and plenty of viewing for the fans. Looking forward to getting the season started.

For those going/there now. Post up photos and race reports for those of us stuck in the north!

Thanks,

Our insurance man called and said, "There's some big hydroplane race or something going on down here!"
