OPA Class 4.
It's a great class with an absolutely great bunch of guys. If nothing else you will leave each race grinning from the times you had with your new pals.

Well said Johnny! And so true! Of course all that comes after you beat the crap out of yourself, your boat and your crew running as hard as you can between 75 and 85 mph in whatever condition. Bracket racing in OPA is no joke no matter what some may say. Everyone is good at it no matter what class you are in.

Thanks for all the good advice, I am in Texas, so it is a haul to race wherever, I went to the races in Biloxi last year, and was thinking this would be the closest race next year, Also, there weren't a lot of competitors at that race, so I don't anticipate running in a big crowd. P4 sounds like just the place to give it a try. Anybody thinking about racing in Biloxi next year?

I don't know if it is o the sched. But The jersey boys, I 'm sure could set up storage for your ride at no cost but booze . I bet Smitty would hook you up in Jersey. They are talkin 3 ocean races to start off but not official. Ocean city , Atlantic City, and Point Pleasant. Drop your rig off and fly in. I bet a half dozen peeps would pick you up at the airport. Myself or crew included. And if you needed something you would have a line next to your truck.

Gps units can be rented per race I think. You don't need a P box if the unit is secure. The other stuff is not cheap but once you have it ..........

We have boats available for lease at all the races, feel free to give us a ring anytime, even if you just want some advice on running and setting up your boat to race. We always have live jackets and helmets you can borrow if you just want to try it out, but I must warn you, I went to a race back in 1999 "Just to try it out" and have raced every year since. It is an amazing sport and an amazing family to be a part of.

Leasing from Chris for one race or an entire season would be a great way to dip your toe into racing without beating up your pleasure boat. Frankly, I bet that it could also be cheaper. At least you will know what it will cost you going into it.
