Randy, congrats in advance on your 2015 OPA National Title!! Hopefully you can make Pt Huron this year then I can congratulate you on being inducted into the APBA Hall of Champions in advance as well!!!
It would have meant the world to me if it was back in 2002 with all the F1 teams. Now its about who travels more than the other guy. I also believe there should be some criteria about how many teams you raced against. Hollow titles are not what I am after. It would be an honor to be on that list IMO when you see some of the names that are on it.

I understand ....But if u r really interested u should look at the rule book. Before leading teams to beleive what i said wasnt true
Not only do you have to race 3 races , KW no longer counts as a qualifier as in past yrs. I dont think a team showing up in KW that hasnt qualified, and says Randy posted on the boards i didnt have to qualify is right. This in one of the changes made over the winter that I was involved with, and just wanted to bring it to teams attention that might not of seen the rule change. Any team interested in KW would be served best by calling the SBI office and get the info directly from SBI. Just passing along facts that are now in the 2015 rules book nothing more. Dont shoot the messenger it there in black and white, and a decision SBI made this winter.

I understand, believe me, I relate, look at my "attendance awards" its a great resume, but in my heart I know what it truly is. I have told you on several occasions that I would be more than willing to sit down with you and have an intelligent conversation and go forward, but it always turns into the "Randy/Trent $hit Show" which has gotten either of us where? I can speak for the both of us and say nowhere except us looking like idiots. We dont have to agree on everything, but you see first hand this year that our class is hurting and the desire for people to move into it is dwindling, sure they'll tell us they want to, however, how many racers say they will show up at a race with no intention, just to get the promoter off their backs. Your rules up there are based off a discontinued motor, not waving the SBI flag, but at least they let in an affordable spec motor that is teched and is thinking about the future and the growth of the class.

The offer still stands and no I dont believe in unification, but if we can at least get our rules to match, then it only benefits the class and the future health of it. Also you and i cant fix this, but maybe if we somehow got on the same page, the rest of the class would be so astonished that hell froze over and at least listen to us and put it into consideration. And no, I am not reaching out to be friends, business is business, I am putting the class's future before you and I.

what it says:

"Eligibility for World Championship: To be eligible to compete in the 2015 World Championship, a boat must race in three (3) National Series races during the 2015 season, or at the discretion of the SBIP President."

The second thing is if you notice Key West for 2014 is not a qualifier for 215.
