Boat racing !!!!!!!! Who is racing at what events???? Us racers are our own worst enemy. Can you only imagine if a race producer could post a list of boats that committed to race at there site. How do we expect promoters to build excitement, purse, sponsors ect when they and the fan base have no idea who might show up. I don't get the big secret of not posting where you are racing. Why is something so simple not done by every race team? If there was an incentive at registration would that help?

No one comes here because more than likely they will get torn down in one form or another.
Bashing their personal lives or what they do for a living etc.
back when this forum came to life ,there were discussions such as what you are asking for by the plenty .

Thats a simple question and it would be nice for the fans and promotors to see who is racing at certain events. Maybe I'm missing something here but all I have seen over the years is some friendly banter and were are not dealing with cry babies, anyone who races have balls to do so and its not for the faint of heart!

How many opa boats are going to Sarasota?

There will be a few OPA boats in Sarasota, I believe.

Not sure if I am considered a OPA boat being I have raced with every org over the years but I will will start if anyone would like to follow. Typhoon will not be able to make the Sarasota event to answer your question. Typhoon is planning on making the complete season of events at all the OPA races. Promoters you can now know at least one boat has committed. Would anyone else care to share there schedule? I get it most can only due a couple of events so why not help out the promoters and say which ones. There is no right or wrong races. This is to help build the event before we get there.

SBI always post an entry list on the web site as boats register.

The question should not be how many OPA boats are going to be in Sarasota but how many boats plan period on going to Sarasota? Promoters don't care where or what orgs the racers normally race with.

I think that's a great idea and job well done. Pre registration is a hard thing to get racers to due. SBI does a good job at incentivizing racers that are racing for points to due that. Its the average guy that just does a couple events a year who may not seem to care about pre registering. Or the guy who wants to make it a secret that he is coming (which I will never understand). When only 1/2 the boats register and people look at the registered roster it looks week and maybe more boats don't show because of that IMO
