L.A.,
Fair question. Let's do it this way, and it may just stop right here...
Exactly what sites did the APBA get booted out of?

Come race at Metro beach on June 27-29 2003, I paid the
prize money in CASH before you leave the awards.
The only check you get is for the TOW money we pay.
And yes it is the clubs responaibility to pay even if the
sponsor didn't pay them.

Gordo,
That is correct Ft.Myers and Sarasota.
Apba still hasnt paid Sarasots and I dont think ever will.
Wasnt tring to start a pissing match just stating facts.
Do you really believe after all the years APBA ran those races they just gave up some of the best site in race for no good reason. Its no big secert,it was even in the newspaper in Sarasota.
If I'm wrong and you have other information I would like to hear it.I didnt post anything that I thought everyone didnt alreay know.It is no secert about the bad blood between Sarasota and APBA (Mike A).I apologize if you took it wrong or didnt know the details....
Just for kicks lets not forget about N.C. APBA did put the first races on there also until that came to an end.

Hey Guys,
No bad blood. Just pointing out the facts. If i were in it for the money i would have been bankrupt 5 years before i started. But alot of these new guys are coming in with their pleasure boats hoping to make millions (or lose a couple of grand in each race, which is reality). But they think lets have a racing weekend and make dough.
People just have to realize that this is for fun but it is also a sport and you can't just stop drinking your Daiquiri for the day and become a racer.
That's all!!
But if an organization makes a promise we all have to be good on our words, since isn't that what life's about.
Anyway can't wait to race and everybody needs not to blow thing s out of proportion.

I agree Dave we should just be looking foward to a safe year next year for all of us thats what is most important.I'm sure you dont do it for the money and like you said the rest of us that have been around awhile dont for sure. We do it for the fun and be with some great friends we have made over the years, and look foward to always meeting new ones.Helping friends and team work is what make what we do so special. You will never assemble a better group of guys especial when one of us need help.We have to stay possitive and the reat will fall in to play.Remember we are the sport the racers are what make it happen and the sport will only be as good as we are.Dave your a class act and thats whats important, you know it and your friends do also keep it up the sport needs you. What is also important even after the flag drops I know god forbid you guys would be there for me if I need HELP!!!!

deepvcatsss12,

Prize money is divided equal between all classes, if you win
that pays around 1000.00. Entry fee's for all GLSCS races is
550.00,if you come from florida with a group of boats, I'll make you a deal you cant refuse.
There is a one time 75.00 membership for the GLSCS .
Look for more info on the silvercup website next week.
