Old Outboard V class?
#11
I think a single engine outboard V bottom class would be a great. There has been alo of talk up here in the N.E. of doing a class like this. A few years back there was a class for these boats. You had Superboat, Activator, Sutphen, Velocity, Shadow, to name a few that were involved in these classes. Such a class would be a great entry level class.
As far as what motor to go with my guessing is that Mercury would probably be picked. I agree with Waterboy about them trying to do it with the Green Motors or let other manufacturers get invovled in it like they are doing with the Super Sport class in OPC racing.
Think this would be great for guys who cannot afford to run Pro Series or even the P classes for that matter. Enviromental and Economic friendly. Then again it is Boat Racing!!!

I also think a single engine OB class would be great! I would open it up to all engine manufactures because racing these boats offshore, you will never get the maximum speed out of them-he with the biggest balls wins. It would certainly put more emphasis on driving and throttling.
