Default Race recap Seaside

Thank you to the racers who came out to run Seaside. To those who did not make it, your loss. Absolutely, best weekend I have ever had. That race course really tested the teams, and they all ran like pros. So much said. Now, here is the deal, We have worked all winter on putting together a great circut in the Northeast, everything is in place and working perfectly, except for one small detail we need more boats, so, along comes a long time friend of Kurt Bergers, Tony Siragoosa. What can I do to help you guys out? At the drivers meeting in Seaside Heights, Tony made an appearance, and announced his new involvement with OPA, and that he will also race the new Bad Boy powerboat in Atlantic City. He is raising sponsorship money for the event through his own contacts, and friends. Many of these friends will also be involved in the OPA Celebrity poker run to AC the saturday before the race. All of these details will be announced in the next few days. Here is the missing piece of the puzzle that might just bring out some more boats. How about a 5,000.00 pay out in each of the 5 P classes, to the top 3 boats in each class! Now there is no excuse, you have everything you asked for, if you dont show........fine I'll cash the check. Wazzup Racing!!!

Congratulations!

What a great catch. Racing against The Goose ... only at OPA. And what a juicy payout.

Hold the phone!!!!!!!!!

Did you just say that a $25,000 purse will be paid out to the winners in A/C?

$2500 for 1st
$1500 for 2nd
$1000 for third

Is this the correct breakdown?

Now that should wake some people up. Everyone says that OPA races are the most fun to attend. Come out and give it a try.

He said: "How about a 5,000.00 pay out in each of the 5 P classes, to the top 3 boats in each class!"

The way it's written, it sounds like 5000 x 5 x 3 = 75.000 smackers. But $25.000 would be wild.

As a comparison: The GM Vortec purse at APBA is $5400 per event, divided by 5 classes, and you must have a Vortec engine plus OWN a GM branded tow vehicle, plus all rentals must be GM, plus GM code of conduct must be observed (Randy would never win...), and other assorted nonsense: http://www.apba-offshore.com/contingency.cfm

This is certainly great news. Congratulations OPA! Maybe you will get some cross overs from APBA , Great Lakes, and the Chesapeake Bay guys. Any predictions as to how many boats ????? I'll start by saying P5 will have 10.

I just wanna offer a huge thanks , to all my fellow Jerzey Boyz , especially Eddie, Anthony , and to Kurt for all of their help and support in getting our boat ready. We never could have done it without them! And a big thanks to the rest for all their "moral support" Just goes to show how friends can come through for you when you need them! Theres no better feeling then seeing a fellow racer busting his ass to help you at the last minute, when he has his own boat to worry about . Thanks again Anthony!!
Unfortunately , due to a bad seawater pump , we never left the dock. So we never made the start.

Guess well have to wait for A.C. !

On behalf of Marty And myself, Thanks Alot! Boyz , you guys are the best.
