I must tell everyone how much Tim and I are looking forward to this.
We cannot thank Chris enough for arranging the "showdown".
All trash talking aside, Tim and I only have one start under our belts. Now we did run and hide from the other P4's and two F1 boats at that race. And we have about 30+ hours of seat time in the boat at over 80 mph.
By no means am I making an excuse, we fully intend to run up front and will be very dissapointed if we do not.
But this trip is more about meeting our eastern bretheren and having a good time. It is not often one gets this type of opportunity.
I know Bertel is on the road, we leave very late tonight, but we will see them tomorrow, with gifts in hand (you know crying towels, etc).
We will be bringing along a DVD of the POPRA Pittsburg race to show, this should send a chill up Bertel and Mad Dogs spine to see how smooth we were in the boat, no doubt it will prove to be very intimidating.
With all of this talk, no-one better overlook the "experienced" guys racing in the One Design, Such as Massimo, John Harlen, Chris Reindl, etc. These are the guys to beat.
To borrow the famous words from Flounder, "Man is this gonna be great!!!"
See you tomorrow

If you pass a F1 Boat on the East Coast you'll be bumped up to P3. You'll have (2) on board GPS's on board your boat. The inspectors will also drive your boat before you race - The F1's are fasssssssssttttttttt! BH

Thanks for the note Joker. Good news is I am racing on One Design this weekend and not my boat.
If we ever make it back with out boat we will be set up to only run 79 mph (i.e. put a 28p prop on instead of the 30p). Which is what we would run in rough water anyways.
In the event Chris does not change the One Design class so that we are legal with our current package, we might make a couple of small changes that would see us run P3 anyways. We are really curious what an Arneson surface drive would do on the boat?

I'll pass on the msg. to Jeff.
There will be 5 or 6 bats in race #1 on Saturday ...
Come for some friendly bat testing today, Friday, 1pm in the bay.
Re: P-Class ... you will be right at home with the Jersey Boys. No chickenlittle here.
