Ron,

The reason for this post was to find if there is enough interest in this type of racing still. I don't have numbers for the anyone so I figured this would be the best place to bring it up and see if anyone is interested. Power of OSO I guess.

As far as Showing Money, The only money to be shown is the money I pay for my equipment fees and racing fees. Alos money to purchase and rig the boat I want. I will not pay anyone to make a class for me!!!!

Thanx for the response,
DPT

Dennis, I meant, bring your check book to pay the yearly registration fee at the meeting. Nothing more. Geez.

Dennis,
I went for a 30 mile run yesterday afternoon in the ocean when the winds turned out of the SE at about 20 knots. I sort of knew something was up when I saw all the fishing boats were coming in so early. I was hoping they were only returning early to watch the World Series...
Anyway....it brought my memories back of racing in the 27 ft Magnum in the Atlantic City race in 1988.
It has been a long time since being in a race boat let alone being out for pleasure yesterday. I realize I am way out of shape for this and sure feeling the pain today...
With having a family now, it puts alot of things into perspective... I feel my racing days are over...
But, whatever I can do from the beach or the computer... I will certainly try to get the SOB's out there.
Dennis, On my website there is a list of Forums. One is LongIslandExtreme. I haven't been there in awhile, but I will take a look to see what the L I guys are up to.
This should be one of the Prime targeted areas.
Last year they did have a representitive at the winter meeting. He felt that the bracket racing would not interest the L I guys. They want to be able to go and race as fast as they can without having to worry about avg speeds and max speeds.
Just a thought, perhaps lift the bracket rule in that class? Try it for one year?
T2X knows there are many 21's floating around.
There were many racing in the NPBA days... A-Class I believe?
I will try to help, if the racing organization wants it...
Unless of course this becomes a "Racers Input Only" type thing. Last year I believe it was an "All Interested Parties" input wanted type meeting.
Let me know how I may help.....

Thanx for all the info Sharkey. Will have to wait a week to get the ball rolling. Things are not good here at home. Once things settle down I am going to be on this full steam. By any chance do you know anyo0ne you can email or tell about this post to help it get rolling also.
I kind of wished T2X would have chimed in already. He would be a great help.

Chunks, how fast are these boats? Are you saying they cant run 65-70 mph? I like the idea of more boats but more class's? I say just move some of the P5 guys up to P4 in OPA.
MD
Is P2 a dead class in OPA? Maybe ditch that class and make more room for entry level. It seems to my 90-100 mph is dead. Vee bottoms need to much power and cat all go over 100mph.
