Augie we would have ran the entire 23 or was it 24 races that year, but the boat was to badly damaged so we miss the last race in California and the Worlds . Jo

Joe,
What race in California did you miss?

Did you race any other California races?

Joe Todesca 12-09-2003 03:58 PM

ryoung99 we raced San Fran, Ventura, Huntington beach, Bencia, San Diego, Pittsburg, , I think we missed Oceanside. I loved racing out there the officials and the Stars people as well as the racers are some of the best . We had a real chance of finishing in first place but thats Racing. My favorite's San Francisco, Pittsburg. Jo

Jo,
The SFO race may be back on this year!!!!

At this time (what I have heard) is POPRA will be racing the following schedule;

Benecia, Pittsburg, Ventura... maybe Hunnington Beach and S.F.

While the schedule will be short, these races have traditionally done well financially for POPRA.

Augie,
If I come out it will be to race. I would like to run a GLCS race this year, so we will be looking for an opportunity to bring the boat out and run two races on consecutive weekends with each organization. We have told Chris Reindl that we would do everything we could to make the Cincinnatti race this year, so if an OPA race aligns with that race it would be the perfect opportunity as long as a POPRA race does not conflict (which would be highly unlikely).

Cool Rick. Mel, I'm gonna MISS the old Vixen. Joe, best of luck in 2004, main thing is Be Safe!. Augie

ryoung99 the San Fran race is a Great Venue , under the Golden Gate and pass Alcatraz can really test the teams. We did have a tragedy that day and there is not much celebration when we all don't go home. POPRA is an a outstanding racing league and will continue to be.
Each event as its own unique course and challengers. I look forward to racing out there again. Wish your team
Great, Safe luck on all your future races.
Thank you Augie ! Good luck to you and your team next season as well. Jo
