ryoung99 12-08-2003 03:30 PM

We will be racing P4 with POPRA.

Not sure beyond that, if the new Super Series put together any independant (non-POPRA) races out west we will run them.

Still have not decided what we are going to do for the "worlds" next year.

ScottB 12-08-2003 04:16 PM

I may resurrect Gigi in P5 in APBA

BRUCE SEROFF 12-08-2003 04:18 PM

AugiePensa 12-09-2003 06:38 AM

Hey Rick, I thought you may want to run a few OPA events like Atlantic City? We could have a wild time there! Mel, glad to see your coming back.....P4? Oh $hit now I gotta build bigger engines.

ScottB 12-09-2003 07:11 AM

I haven't done a thing to the boat Frank, I am waiting until after the holidays

BODYSHOT1 12-09-2003 09:35 AM

we'll be running P4 w/OPA

ryoung99 12-09-2003 09:49 AM

Augie,
We will see what we can do. The problem with running back east is the distance.

Tim and I are working on a deal that may allow us to run some east coast races, but man is it expensive to tow across the country (not to mention time consuming).

When will the OPA schedule be out?
Rick

Joe Todesca 12-09-2003 10:33 AM

ryoung99 we ran 99% of all the boat races in the country during the 2000 season in F2. APBA , Florida Force series, POPRA except one, GLSCS, I think 20 races in all. I believe Treadwellmotorsports and us were the only ones to ever attempt this. Keith criss crossed the country 9 times and the expense's Well lets just say they were a lot. not to mention a certain brand of tire blowing out heading to the last POPRA race and the boat totaled after it rolled down an embankment in the AZ desert. Jo

Wazzup Racing 12-09-2003 12:14 PM

WAZZZZZZZUP..........P?

AugiePensa 12-09-2003 01:46 PM

Rick, we should have it out in the next week and we'll talk soon about you coming East to race or just play......Joe your a nut running 20 races......but then we ran 12 this year and Smitty(WAZZUP) ran 14.....guess we're all nuts. How are you? Augie

MIAMIBOYZ 12-09-2003 02:21 PM

SBI P3 OR P4 HERE WE COME
WILD BOYZ RACING

Joe Todesca 12-09-2003 02:39 PM

Augie we would have ran the entire 23 or was it 24 races that year, but the boat was to badly damaged so we miss the last race in California and the Worlds . Jo

ryoung99 12-09-2003 03:32 PM

Joe,
What race in California did you miss?

Did you race any other California races?

Joe Todesca 12-09-2003 03:58 PM

ryoung99 we raced San Fran, Ventura, Huntington beach, Bencia, San Diego, Pittsburg, , I think we missed Oceanside. I loved racing out there the officials and the Stars people as well as the racers are some of the best . We had a real chance of finishing in first place but thats Racing. My favorite's San Francisco, Pittsburg. Jo

Augie, dont bother with the engines,if we have t run with them boxes again it dont make much diff.anyway.New boats a litte bigger then Vixen but weighs in at the same weight.Have no idea how she runs out yet.Hope to have her running somtime in Jan. Mel

ryoung99 12-09-2003 06:08 PM

Jo,
The SFO race may be back on this year!!!!

At this time (what I have heard) is POPRA will be racing the following schedule;

Benecia, Pittsburg, Ventura... maybe Hunnington Beach and S.F.

While the schedule will be short, these races have traditionally done well financially for POPRA.

Augie,
If I come out it will be to race. I would like to run a GLCS race this year, so we will be looking for an opportunity to bring the boat out and run two races on consecutive weekends with each organization. We have told Chris Reindl that we would do everything we could to make the Cincinnatti race this year, so if an OPA race aligns with that race it would be the perfect opportunity as long as a POPRA race does not conflict (which would be highly unlikely).

Rick

AugiePensa 12-10-2003 06:27 AM

Cool Rick. Mel, I'm gonna MISS the old Vixen. Joe, best of luck in 2004, main thing is Be Safe!. Augie

Joe Todesca 12-10-2003 09:15 AM

ryoung99 the San Fran race is a Great Venue , under the Golden Gate and pass Alcatraz can really test the teams. We did have a tragedy that day and there is not much celebration when we all don't go home. POPRA is an a outstanding racing league and will continue to be.
Each event as its own unique course and challengers. I look forward to racing out there again. Wish your team
Great, Safe luck on all your future races.
Thank you Augie ! Good luck to you and your team next season as well. Jo

Tom

Jr. and I always do some SBI races, lets hook up more fun in numbers Ed

TeamTaboo 12-16-2003 01:59 PM

The only reason not to sell is coming out to play with you
and Kevin, but if the price is right, I will build some kind of canopy boat . Maybe a cat, the 39MTI poker run boat
will be here the next 10 days. If I like the ride I might
build one for racing(with Diesels of course) Bill

TomR 12-16-2003 08:07 PM

Looking forward to it Ed!

AugiePensa 12-17-2003 06:46 AM

Have a safe and healthy holiday, ask you wife to get the pasta ready in her mind for next year cause we ARE gonna raid your house when she cooks. Reindl Powerboats 12-17-2003 11:22 AM

A few race teams have asked me if we would do this, so we decided it would be a good idea if someone was interested in a whole 5 race series. We are already replacing all the engines for the One Design Series boats, and would be willing to build someone a boat for lease or sale for a specific class.

Say you want to race P4. We will build the boat to go 79.99, and we all know how the bat boats perform in the rough water up there.

You would have to run the season, as our goal is to help build up the racing numbers and fun for everyone up there. Looks like all the race dates are going to be good for us, and we would be willing to throw some contigency cash into the series as a whole also.

The dates are as follows and we would be willing to drop the price $1000 per race to bring it to $3500/event. That's right, $10,500 per person for the entire season. We do all maintainence, travel and crew work - and the engine and drive are guarenteed. Where else do you get that in racing?

Here is the 2004 schedule:

Brick,NJ - June 26,27 - Ocean Race
Atlantic City,NJ - July 18,19 - Ocean Race
Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ - Aug. 12,13 - Ocean Race
L.I. / CONN. Area - Aug. 28,29 - Bay Race
Cambridge, MD - Sept. 25,26 - Bay Race
Delaware River Area - Oct. 9,10 River Race

Racing is alive in the NorthEast, and we would be willing to do this for guys in other Series as well!
