Five Things You Like About Offshore Powerboat Racing...
Sometimes we forget to look for the positive things around us, including the things we like about something.
Ask yourself this question:
What are five things that you like about Offshore Powerboat Racing?
Here's mine:
1. The challenge of being the best at something.
2. Being around other like-minded people.
3. Making/having new friends with diverse backgrounds
4. Traveling to distant places
5. The thrill of just being a part of it all

5) Watching those who have won and those who have
not, be gracious and thankful for their day!

5.) Ordering $50 of checkered infant clothing before your child is born.
4.) Spending $45 on embroidery for your infant racing uniform.
3.) Taking four rolls of photos of your three week old in full racing uniform, while your wife just shakes her head.
2.) E-mailing scanned copies of those photos to everyone you have ever met or are likely to meet.
1.) Hearing your 3 year old son say "Dad let's watch one of your boat racing tapes".
Basically the family atmosphere of the sport I guess.

Great thread,
From a spectator:
1. The easy accesses to the pits.
2. Meeting fellow groupies form all parts of the Country
3. Partying with the Drivers and crews!
4. The racing, just can’t explain to people what it is like to see a 40ft Cat or Super V fly bye at WFO. Cleveland was great, what a great front straight away!
5. The scantly clad ladies that Offshore racing attracts.

2. Fighting for position after milling.
3. Knowing you only have 1 lap left in a really rough race.
4. Getting the checkerd flag in front of the fans.
5. Calling your sponsor to tell them you've won the National Championship.
