Default Miss print in the E-Mail from OPA?????

I received an e-mail today with the update on the new rules for P5. Everything looked good, until I read the part about maximum speed 65mph.
I realize this is the "starter" class but was was wrong with 70mph top speed???
I understand having the average lap speed as part of the equation, but whats up with this?????????????
Is there someone out there with a boat that will only go 64mph that's griping???
This is the rule change that makes me UNNNHAPPY!!!

Clarification is needed. I just send this stuff out, I don't write the rules.

A call to OPA central will help to clarify things. 732 477 7400.

It is not 65mph "average" lap speed...it is top speed and 60 mph will be average lap speed. Spoke w/smitty yesterday. Tom, I was out there last year and I never broke 65 in a race...I would consider my boat a "starter" boat. Anyway, your pantera does much better than 70 mph top speed.... I thought you guys were moving up a class.... I could be wrong though. Stay warm....buuuuurrrrr.

Qball,
Why do we need to change the class rules?? Our boat is set up to run P5.
Will our boat max out over 70mph in the right conditions, maybe?? But that isn't the point.
The P5 is from 61 to 70mph and the GPS will help enforce that.
We had no intention of moving up, and if they stay with this lastest change, that leaves us out of a class that fits!!! I'm not happy with this at all!!
