Ding Ding Ding. Fix that problem and this will be the greatest sport.

"Does anyone know who bought the Barcardi US1 Supercat? Will it be racing this year?"

It was bought by Todd Werner from Flowmaster. He'll be racing it under the Flowmaster name with JT on the sticks....in OSS.

Mr Velocity, what would it take to get you to race again?

I believe Todd bought the Sterling engines, props, etc. (no drives) and is having a new MTI built. The US1 is at Randy Hartmann's I believe.

And speaking of announcements: Whereas others tend to be overly optimistic with their schedules at times, OSS seems to be just the opposite ....
With the decision on Key West being decided on April 6th and with APBA, SBI, and now the Blue Angels in the running for the cash. With only a letter of intent and no contract, I would call that optomistic as well.

TECHNICALLY, it is an SBI race to wich your invited

Randy from the Airborne/Skater Team bought it, he is keeping both his and the US-1 boat. Most likely the MTI will race and the Skater will be converted to pleasure.

Per this post above, which is right.....and that I just got off the phone with Randy today, trust me on this one.....Randy will be running with Charlie Haimes in the MTI.

Is DeSantis taking a break?

I don't know what Desantis is going to do, but Charle ran with Randy in St. Pete and Joe Imprescia ran with Randy in Key West, but I think, unless I heard him wrong today, Charlie is going to run with Randy in the US-1 in 2004. I will be talking to Randy within the week, and hopefully get over to his place and get to see the MTI with it's new team. They have been working on it intensely. I'll let you all know if I hear anything different.

So lemme get this straight: The upper classes are nearly all running with OSS, with the odd APBA and SBI die-hards sprinkled in. F2 and F1 are by most accounts dead. The bracket classes will most likely run SBI, that’s their natural home, and that’s where they get at least some prize money. A whole bunch will just stick with their local club for the season. Am I missing something?
