Default Biloxi, Day 3

There will be no further reporting, results or pictures on OSO if the death of a fellow racer is used to make political capital.

As I said in the other post before you deleted it and re-posted this-

Respect in this sport is earned. A $ symbol on the side of a raceboat doesn't guarantee it for you. Go ask somebody that has been racing awhile if you remind them of Richard Granville (Richie Rich).

I've donated to more families of fallen racers than you have races under your belt.

Question

Can't we just get back to racing here?

This by no means any disrespect to Randy... May he rest in peace.

But enough already with the bickering, accusations and political agendas.

I thought there was enough of that over the Winter to last us a lifetime.

Let's move onto bigger and better racing talk...

'Nuff said!

I for one am sorry to here this, maybe I've missed something, but I do enjoy seeing and hearing what's going on, God forbid anything happening to me in a race but if it did I would hope that anyone that knew me or respected me as a racer would celebrate my life with a shot or a beer or anything that would make you happy. And I would expect the race to continue as planned. Maybe there's something wrong with me, but I lost my father unexpectedly 3 weeks ago and I wouldn't say it was a party, their was lots of crying, the viewing and funeral went on for 4 days and in two city's but I did enjoy hearing all the story's and good times his friends had with him.

Bertil is a little out there and we all know that, but for a man that works non stop (advertising) I have always thought his intentions were good. I'm not here to be on any side, lets just move on and enjoy the sport and Remember our lost-one's in a way that comforts us.

Eddie

Thank You Eddie for your post on all of this. I agree whole heartedly with You. Bertell is a very good person and answered his phone instantly when I called the other night to pass along my condolences to all the racing friends and Family Members of those who were involved in the unfortunate accident that occurred the other day.

Lets stop the bickering as a respect to Randy, Charlie and their Families. The news that is being released is good for those who do not have a means to get the info first hand. Besides I am sure if You were to ask anyone that races if the same unfortunate circumstances occurred to them they would want the race to go on.

As far as the race going on I spoke with Leah,Randy's daughter and she felt that was the way her dad would of wanted it.I believe Randy was watching down on the races and when the last boat was lifted the tears fell.It rained till the next day.Randy was a great friend and racer.RIP#24 Tom Abrams
