All testing proceeds without any hitches. Observers comment about the amazing radio discipline, not only by Ray Standley in Race Control, but especially by the OSS racers who check in and out of testing as if it is a busy metropolitan airport.

The day ends with a moving ceremony in which Randy Linebach's #24 is retired. No Super Cat will ever carry the #24 again at OSS. Randy's number was and remains forever 24.

Play-by-play action will be transmitted LIVE on http://www.talk-offshore.com starting at 12 noon. If you have not listened to Talk-Offshore yet (and you should,) visit their website, and make sure to install the Real Audio driver needed to listen. A high-speed Internet connection is highly recommended.

Well the long anticipated day is here for the running of the Offshore Super Series St. Petersburg, Florida race. The races will begin at 1:00pm EDT and the show will begin at 12:30pm EDT.
Martin will be joined by Charlie Haimes to do the play by play so don't miss the action.

I would like to personally congratulate all Board Members of OSS for taking a great step in retiring Randy Linebach's racing number(24). This shows a lot of class on the part of OSS and respect towards Randy's Family Members.

I have to say, the viewing from The Pier was not that great DURING the race, but the boats coming by afterwards were nice picture opportunities. Congrats to all! The OSS support staff out at the race was nothing but friendly and top notch.
