Default First Kilo Record for SS Class 2004

We want to congratulate DEEP VEE CATS with Lee Austin and Steve Quick, on setting the First Kilo Record for the SS Class.

They ran a very respectable speed and set the bar quite high at 107 MPH.

I am so glad to have been there to see this happen.

Thank you for showing us how it is done boys!

Julie

Thanks to everyone for the calls and compliments. As most of you know it's really all about Mr. Lee Austin. One of the hardest working men in the boat building business, and definitely the hardest working man in the pits (sorting other teams problems).

The Deep V Cats boat is a unique one of a kind creation, hand built by Lee. The hull is not even close to any other catamaran being built today. It is an ongoing R&D project that makes my driving experience VERY interesting. Lee is currently building boats for three companies. His version of the AMT Catamaran which is popular in our class is a work of art, and fast.

We have had many inquiries about the Deep V Cats hull. Lee is adamant about not building more until it's perfected. I think it's close. SQ
