Thumbs up To the OPA..just a quick thanks

I just wanted to say thank you to all those involved with this awesome sport. I've worked 3 races now as a volunteer and am absolutely looking forwards to next season. I have met some awesome people through out this experience. Kurt, Augie, Smitty, Bruce, Ron, Randy etc...and the list goes on. Again it has been my pleasure being involved with all of you as well as this sport. Thanks Again

Bernie

PS- Kurt and Smitty thanks for the hand yesterday with the launch pass it was appreciated as well as thanks to Smitty and Randy and all those involved with helping me in and out of the water.

NO...thank you. Without people like yourself, it wouldnt be safe for us. So give yourself a high five. You deserve it.

See you in KW.

Bernie,
It was nice meeting you, and all the race teams really appreciate the support of the volunteers. In particular, thanks for getting a line on that tree that was floating right in the middle of the course coming out of the north turn.....we would have run right over that; but seeing you there we went around the stern of your boat and continued on until we realized the race was being stopped. Thanks again.

believe me i had no desire at all to see that race stopped i was just as excited to be involved as you guys were especially after all the effort that went into it...but i own a boat and know how much $$$ damage $$$ that coulda done not to mention potential bodily injury...we have to get together for drinks sometime

That's what you call getting close to the action!

Thanks Bernie, you've been a great help throughout this summer.

See ya in Key West.

I have to reiterate the same sentiments as Bernie. This was my first time volunteering for race, had a blast. But someone should have told me that part of the necessary equipment for a sweep boat was a chain saw.

Thanks,

Kevin

Thumbs up Re: To the OPA..just a quick thanks

If it was not for all you dedicated volunteers, there would not be any races. So as Bruce said you guys give yourselves a big high five and a pat on your backs.
Thank-you, Bob and the rest of The Firewater Race Team.
